About the Bungalow Pre-School

We are a privately run Ofsted registered pre-school, offering both private and government funded sessions to children aged 2-4 years. We are situated within the NHS/Library Complex on Prince Edward Road, South Shields, a fantastic location which enables us to use on-site services to enhance the care we provide for all children who attend our setting.

At the Bungalow Pre-School we provide care and education for children from 2 - 4 years of age. We operate from the multi-purpose site, based on the ground floor with access to a fantastic ‘free-flow’ play area. We also have access to community rooms within the centre, which we use for parent events as well as regular access to the on-site library facilities.

Our child-centred approach to learning ensures that each child is provided with a rich and enjoyable learning experience so they can grow and flourish as learners. We welcome and encourage parents to engage in their child's learning and share their experiences so that we can create a learning environment perfectly tailored for your child's individual needs.

Opening Times

We are open 8:30am - 5:30pm Monday to Friday all year, only closing for Bank Holidays and a short time over the Christmas period.

Day Care

We provide full day care for all nursery age children for the following times:

Full Day Session

8:30am - 5:30pm

Morning Session

8:30am - 12:30pm

Afternoon Session

1:00pm - 5:30pm

There is a minimum of two half day sessions or one full day session per week. Any Additional hours can be arranged but they must be agreed beforehand with the nursery and are charged on top of your normal nursery fees.

We aim to be as flexible as possible when providing sessions to ensure they fit around your individual needs and requirements. You can speak to us directly in order to arrange flexible sessions though these will be subject to the available space at the nursery.
